Looking After You
If we don’t feel well we are told to seek medical advice. If we don’t feel good about ourselves, we are told the same thing. The medical profession tends to seek quick fix prescriptions for issues relating to our state of mind. This is a very delicate area because so many elements can contribute to our feelings of disquiet, anxiety and stress. These elements can interact and combine to make unravelling them difficult. Probably we can only deal with them one at a time.
Our hopes, aspirations, need for lifelong fulfilment, peace of mind, happiness, contentment and connectedness are all related to the relationship we have with ourselves. We may be influenced by many people, experiences, learnings and journeys in our life but the most important influence over us is ourselves and how we feel about ourselves.
You have probably heard that before but did not have a clear idea what to do about it. Here we expose a few things which can contribute to, and sometimes are the primary cause for, 'not feeling good about ourselves.’
